Senior Visual Storyteller

Position Title:
Senior Visual Storyteller
Type:
Full-time
Loaction:
Remote / Work From Anywhere

What This Role Is (And What It Isn't)

Most graphic designer roles at agencies want someone to resize posts and follow brand guides. This isn't that.

You'll be the person who makes a B2B SaaS company look like it belongs on a global stage, not like it paid a freelancer on Fiverr. You'll take a brief that says 'make us look serious and smart' and turn it into a deck that CFOs actually read. A campaign visual that stops the scroll. An eBook that doesn't feel like a chore.

If you need detailed instructions to start, or if your portfolio is mostly templates dressed up in someone else's brand colours, stop here.

About Pangolin Marketing

We're a B2B marketing agency for tech companies that refuse to be boring. We work in SaaS, climate tech, analytics, and enterprise software. We do brand strategy, campaigns, content, and design for clients who want to own their category, not blend into it.

Our design team works across sales decks, event kits, digital campaigns, eBooks, landing pages, and brand identity. No two weeks look the same.

You'll Fail Here If:

  • Your portfolio is 80% Canva templates with client logos swapped in
  • You treat AI tools as a shortcut to skip thinking, not an accelerator for doing
  • You need a perfect brief to start (we work in ambiguity)
  • You can't explain why you made the visual choices you did
  • You need 3 days to turn around a social carousel
  • You design for applause, not for the brief's business objective

What You'll Do:

  • Design B2B marketing collateral across the full spectrum: sales decks, eBooks, infographics, event branding, digital ads, social campaigns, landing page visuals, and case studies
  • Translate complex, technical ideas into visuals that are clear, compelling, and brand-coherent, not just pretty
  • Use AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, RunwayML) as part of your daily workflow to ideate faster and iterate smarter, not to replace craft
  • Collaborate with strategists and content writers to ensure visuals reinforce the narrative, not just decorate it
  • Present your work with rationale: what you made, why you made it, what it should do for the audience
  • Hit fast turnarounds without cutting corners on the fundamentals: hierarchy, contrast, alignment, colour

What We're Looking For:

  • 3–4 years of design experience at an agency, startup, or as a serious freelancer
  • A portfolio showing original work across at least 3 formats (branding, digital, print or presentation)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Working knowledge of AI design tools like Midjourney, Firefly, Banana, Gemini, Banani, Claude, or equivalent
  • Proven ability to work at volume without sacrificing precision
  • Comfort with feedback loops: you iterate based on input, not instinct alone
  • Motion graphics experience is a strong advantage

What You Get:

  • Mentorship: Regular design reviews and feedback from leads who care about your growth, not just delivery
  • Variety: SaaS, climate tech, enterprise software, no two clients think the same way
  • Creative freedom within structure: We'll push back on safe design. Bring your ideas
  • AI-native workflows: You'll be using the tools shaping the future of design, not catching up to them
  • Remote, async-first culture: Output matters more than when you're online

How to Apply:

Send your portfolio, resume, and one line describing the most technically challenging design problem you've ever solved to [email protected]

No portfolio = no review. A Behance/Drive link is fine. A PDF is fine. A website is fine. A list of tools you know is not.
