After over a decade of grassroots work in Karnataka’s underserved districts, OBLF had the impact most nonprofits aim for - first-generation learners, waste-worker families accessing public healthcare, and entire blocks moving up the literacy index. Working across education, healthcare, and community rehabilitation, their outcomes were powerful but their communications didn’t match their outcomes.
Key hurdles:
OBLF needed a system to convert its decade-long grassroots journey into a clear, credible, and emotionally resonant funder experience.
We asked a simple question: If a funder can’t visit the village, can the village visit the funder? We built a three-part donor engagement engine that combined logic, empathy, and clarity:
We designed an immersive physical experience where funders could walk through the work.
Clearer Positioning
Reframed OBLF’s work into a system-led, emotionally anchored narrative
Higher Recall, Stronger Pull
“What You Don’t See” became a sticky narrative device making the work easier to grasp, retell, and fund.
A Scalable Donor Experience
The narrative system works across formats (decks, events, and reports) building recognition and trust at every touchpoint.
